Hulabaloo

In all the Hulaballoo that is going on at my place I kinda forgot to about this. I was yesterdays feature reader submission at the Scrapbooks and Cards today blog. I am busy prepping for my trip, making sure that I have everything and that my kids stuff is all in order. Got all my stuff ready for my Class and I hope that if  you planning on attending you'll stop by the Unibind booth on tuesday for my make and take. For those of you who have not heard of this fabulous gizmo, you should check it out here. The photobook creator comes with everything you need to make your first album, You can quickly bind your digital pages or create something from traditional scrapbook supplies. I have been playing with it and I love how easy it is to use and will share what I created when I get back from Anahiem. So Excited!!!

I also participated in another one of the wonderful challenges over at page maps. I really love Becky Flecks style, so creating from her sketches is easyfor me and I always love the results. This is a layout about my little nature boy.

Everyday love

January is flying by and I can't believe that in 5 Days I will be headed out to CHA. {insert BIG SMILE here} My Hubby and I celebrate our 5th wedding anniversary on friday. Then I am off to Anahiem where he will later join me. Let the vacation begin!!! I am a little anxious, as the kids will be staying home with our mothers.  But I am sure once I am surrounded by crafters then later Mickey Mouse, I will be just fine. So being in the loveing frame of mind, I created this layout, I used my scrapbook adhesives pop dots to give this real dimention, by popping up the strip of punched out hearts and further popping the hearts off of that. Layering these pop dots look so cool. I am pretty pleased with how the whole thing turned out.

Products used Core-dinations Cardstock and buttons from the button box.

Messing around with scraps

I have two 7x 12 file folders with dividers that I call my scraps file, I have one for cardstock organzied by color and one for pattern paper.  Right now my cardstock file is overflowing so I decided to do a door hanger for each of the bedrooms in the house, using only scraps. This one is mine, because I love owls. I am working on a couple more for the boys rooms, it is fun little challenge to help me thin out my scrap files.

Not far from the tree

My Mom is one of the most incredible women I know, she has lived through cancer and struggled with illness her entire life. She has lost so much and yet she still focuses on the possitives in life, she still celebrates all the little things and she still finds the good in everybody. She amazes me and is my hero. I created this layout after finding these photos in my collection. I was just testing the light for a family photo and caught these of her.

Good Monday Morning

Well happy Scrappy Monday everybody, I finally put my scrap room back to a functioning paper playground. It has been a mess of thread, glitter and sewing projects for far to long. This page is all about Christmas breakfast. Mmm Yummy!! I love these felt goodies by Making Memories, I think they really nailed the traditional Christmas colors in this years collection.

Back to our regularly scheduled programming

Wow, what a holiday!!! It has been quite a whirlwind of activity around here and like some relatives, I was thrilled to have it arrive and equally happy to see it go. All the stress mess and choas have left and today I have my house back in order. The gifts that I made over the holidays turned out wonderful and now that the gifts have been given I can share a couple here. First up are these mini aprons, they are used to hide dish soap!

The second thing that I sewed were the matching full size aprons. Sadly I forgot to photgraph them before they got wrapped so..... I only have this photo of one of them.

SILLY ME!!!!

We also did several woodworking projects and made a game for the kids called Bangerang, It is kinda like yatzee only it is played with color instead of numbers.
Now it is time to get back to my scrap room and get creating with paper again. I will have some wonderful new things to share with you soon.
HAPPY NEW YEAR!!
