Trying something girly

Have you had enough imaginisce? No? Me neither? If you have not already, head over to their blog, the ladies over there have done some AMAZING things with Coredinations and Imaginisce. I mean amazing, Quilling??? Oh I need to learn to do that!!! and I need that new At the beach collection, that little crab is killer cute. They sent me all sorts of goodies from thier Lucy Bird Line, it is adorable and has forced me to break out something girly and since I have the two boys and I have never worn a stitch of pink in my life. I put my scrapping skills to the test by creating this layout. It will be a gift for one of my friends grand daughters. I know she loves this picture, so it will be a wonderful surpize.

Imaginisce and Core-dinations

So lately I have been sharing projects from two of my favorite companies Core'dinations Cardstock and Imaginisce. This week we have teamed up to bring you some fantastic ideas AND  there will be a really big giveaway! All you need to do is leave a comment at Core'dinations cardstocks blog to be in the drawing. You REALLY want this package, believe me. Make sure your comment is in Monday's post so all of the posts are in one place for the drawing. But check back often because there is a ton of great ideas!!

Also I thought that I would share some of the first photos from the new house.

This is the before and after in the Living Room
This is the Hallway before and After, there was a large closet and I simply removed the door to create more space.

This is the before and after of the dining room and good scrubbing and a fresh coat of smoket slate paint was all it needed.
Lastly this is my new scrap space, just as bright as the old one by the window, I was lucky that all my old shelving and stuff fit perfectly. So I just moved right in.

I am still working on the bathroom and the kitchen. I will share those when I am done!!

Tearing it up

So I am finally getting settled into the new house, things have been crazy and I am a feeling a little burnt out and ready to settle into a routine. I promise that I will try and post before and after photos later in the week. In the mean time I thought that I would share this layout. Our Core-dinations team was challenged to using tearing on a page or project and so I used my fiskars tearing ruler to create these torn waves and scrapped the photos from earth day.

Products used, Core-dinations cardstock, AC thickers and Jenni Bowlin letter. Fiskars ruler.

Girls just wanna have fun

Here is the layout created from the 3 scrappy boys trio kit, I gave you a sneak peak of it earlier. I love these cool Maya Rd banners and the October afternoon papers just rock. Who loves October Afternoon? I DO!!! Feeling a little burnt out and a little high on fumes. I am on day 9 of painting the new house, but carpets arrive on Friday and then I will be able to share with all of you some before and after shots.

What a week

Holy tornado, Well friends.... I am sorry that I have not been a good little blogger this week, but it just so happens that on Monday I sold my house, {insert happy dance here} and for us that means we have 30 days to move. So I have been a seriously busy bumble bee. The new house that we are moving to required some heavy cleaning and painting as well as new carpets. It has been a couple of late nights with a paint brush in my hand, and not in an artistic sence and we have a lot more work to go before we can start moving stuff in. However as always I took a little down time to scrap and created this layout. My inspiration for this was this fantastic sketch by Julie Bonner, she is this months guest designer for Paper Poppy Kit Co. As you can see I turned the sketch on it's side to accomadate my photo and since I did not want to cover my photo with the triangle, I made a trio of little banners.

The ants go marching and Motherhood

Happy National Scrappbooking Day Everyone, It has been sunny and wonderful and I have been out playing baseball and even fit in a little time to Scrap. With mothers day approaching I wanted to do a layout sharing how I feel about motherhood along with the usual card for my own mother. I used more of the goodies from my 3 Scrappy boys Kit and made sure there was lots of room for journalling.
Products used Core-dinations Cardstock, Pattern paper by basic grey, stickers by October Afternoon, thickers by American Crafts and Prima Bling. Photo corners by scrapbook adhesives
Now for the ants, I found this Idea in my new cupcake book . These are super easy cake mix cupcakes with reese pieces ants and coconut grass. It was so fun and easy I felt the need to share.
