Roo Food

One of the highlights of my trip to Australia was feeding a kangaroo, this is what Australia is known for all around the world. Its wonderful marsupials. Crate Paper had a little sketch challenge happening and it was perfect for these photos.

It worked great with my Fancy Pants Core'Impressions and My whimsy buttons.
Have a great weekend

Feeling Challenged

This month I decided to find some challenges to kick start my mojo so I hopped around to some of my favorite manufacturers blogs, the first one was October Afternoon, where they have a color challenge happening and it inspired me to scrap this photo and pull out all my blues.

My Whimsy bird, bug and buttons were a great match, I just went around pulling out everything out that was blue!! So much fun!!

I love the color combo of orange and blue,  so I used that as my accent color.

When it was all finished I had used OA's Schoolhouse, Seaside, 5 & Dime, Road Trip and Report Card Collections.

What Challenges are you working on??

Technique Tuesday Time

Good Morning, I hope everyone has had a wonderful May long weekend, mine was very full with family, a trip to an art show, yard work, a baseball tournament and a birthday. Phew......... Talk about a packed weekend but now that it is over I am back to my scrap space.

See the embossed water swirls..........this is today's Core' technique and there is a picture tutorial on how this is done over on the Core'dinations blog. I love using this trick when the edges of my embossing folders don't match up, or when I want the embossed image to fade off.

Product used are LOTS of Core'dinations, Pattern Paper by Cosmo Cricket, Chipboard by Maya Rd, button by My Little bit of Whimsy, gems by Queen n Co.

The last day of Teresa Collins

This week has been a week of frills and fancy over on the Core'dinations Blog as we team up with Teresa Collins. As most of you know I am as about as frilly as a frog, that is to say not at all. So I gravitated toward the graphic boy blues and layered them to create this birthday card. There are lots more examples on the Core'dinations blog and over on the Teresa Collins Blog, be sure to check it out and leave a comment for a chance to win.

It might as well be Christmas

So even though I am the lucky one in my neighborhood that got to go and enjoy warm weather somewhere else..........I have returned home to the ridiculously wet, windy and cold!! I have had ENOUGH already. Please please sunshine come out and play. I do not wish to see more grey.

So if it is gonna be freezing cold and I still have to light the fire, I might as well scrap Christmas. This is my sister in law and I all dressed up for our annual Christmas eve party, this years theme was Whoville and it was a total blast getting all gussied up.

For this page I used the Jillibean soup Core'Impressions and some of the Christmas Cottage line from Imaginisce. To the holly berries I added a little extra sparkle by adding i-rocs the new red ones are perfect!!

Anyways I hope the sun comes out soon, my skin is so white it is turning transparent!!

Australia at a glance {picture heavy}

G'day everyone, so I am sorry that I have not posted until now, as many of you know blogger has been having issues, things seem to be fixed now. So I am back from my trip to Australia, the Print Blocks event was fabulous. I met lots of amazing people laughed until my sides hurt and over all had a blast. This first shot is of me and my friend and new Core'dinations DT member Kim Jeffress, It was so AWESOME to be with her when the DT was announced. Her extreme excitement was incredible to behold and I am so glad that I got to be a part of it. Plus having her in the booth and classroom was FABULOUS she was so much help!! THANK YOU KIM!!

This is a shot of one of the classes that I taught these ladies were so much fun!!

It was a full house

Ok believe it or not this is a pancake house!!! It was so cool we ate there twice!

Notice the seats are old pews. This is Jenny from Clearsnap and Adam from Prima fantastic people to hang out with.

I tried to fit as much of Australia as I could, into the two days after the show.
So the first stop was the Australia Zoo, Koala's are adorable!

Kangeroo's are friendly

Crocodiles are scary!

We headed up to a more mountainess setting these are the rolling hills of the glass mountains. Where we had lunch in the town of Montville.

In this wonderful restaurant called the poets cafe, the tropical views of the out back were amazing.

I could not visit Australia without at least one trip to the beach, this beautiful beach boasted warm water and soft sand as far as the eye could sea, I could have stayed there for a week, maybe next time!!

So that is my trip in a nut shell, I am glad to be home now and this weekend I am headed back to my scrap table, I've got some great Aussie photo's to scrap!!

Feathers and Flowers

So today on the Imaginisce Blog we are playing with there new release of roly rosy flowers. Lately I've been looking at flowers in a whole new way I've turned them into clouds, I used them as the sun and today I am mixing them with feathers to create this one of a kind headband. With all the wonderful head pieces that were shown off at the royal wedding. I joined in the fun creating this piece for me with Denim and flowers.

before I rolled the flowers I frayed the edge a little to give is a little more depth.

Imaginisce May Challenge

So to get May started we've got another fun challenge, I love the challenges where we try to do things for the boys

So the challenge is to:

1. Create a masculine themed layout/card/project using Imaginisce product.
2. You MUST also use one of the Snag 'em Stamps on your project.

Naturally the project must be at least 75% Imagininsce projects and of course we have a fabulous prize at the the end of the month to give away. So join in the fun and give it try.

Here is what I came up with. I used the apple cider collection I love all the browns and used some of the brand new tear drop i-rocks and I loved using my snag ems as a border on the bottom.

Also used on this layout are some of my favorite Whimsy's All the clouds the beautiful brown bird and the neato button.

I can't believe that it's May already, we are almost half way through 2011. Right now I am probably up in the air and on my way to Australia, It looks like the weather is going to be beautiful so I've got my fingers crosses because I would really like to see some of the outback. I am incredibly exited about teaching along side some incredible designers like Teresa Collins, Sherry Mendoza from Prima, Jenny Steiner from Clear Snap and Sarah Moore from Maya Rd just to name a few. This trip is bound to be a ton of fun and I can't wait to share when I get back.  TTFN :)
