Green Concern

This month there is a huge focus on our planet in my community, our school has gone green, reducing garbage and encouraging more reusable products. In my home we celebrated Earth Day Last week by turning down the heat and using less lights. I planted several new trees and started a veggie garden. On top of these things I still worry about what other ways I can change my life to work better for both my budget and mother nature. That is the focus of this layout.

I used a variety of lines from October Afternoon and this beautiful embossed Cardstock from the Basic grey  Core'Impression line. Other goodies like this adorable black bird are made by My little bit of Whimsy, and the sun burst button by a marvellous company in Australia called Greatest View.

I hope I have gotten you thinking about some of the changes you could make to help out our planet.
Have a wonderful weekend

Bubbles

This layout was inspired by one of Summer Fullertons layouts, I loved her use of 1 giant photo. I just got the new Jillibean soup Neopolitan Bean Bisque and I thought that the colors were perfect and sayings well suited for the captured moment.

Here is a little close up of the  pocket that I made out of the Journalling card. I love those!! Plus I love the Core'tags for quick Journalling.

Hope you all have a wonderful weekend

Sweet Stamp Shop

For the next couple days we are having fun with Sweet Stamp Shop Stamps. Check out this cute little guy! My Nephews birthday was on the weekend and so I whipped up this card with some of his favorite colors.

Do you like the shape?? I used a lifestyle craft zig zag die to cut it out. I will definitely do this again. TTFN :)

Rag quilt all done

Ok so you remember a few weeks ago, I showed you the stack of fabric that I had cut? Well 144 squares and a hand cramp later and this is what I have.

I love this blanket, it is so soft and cozy and perfect for a little boy or girl. Can't wait to wrap my baby up in it!!

Butterflies in my tummy

Finally feeling very pregnant, starting to look pregnant not just questionably fat. It is  good now and I am really trying to remember that this is the last time that I plan on doing this and I keep telling myself "try to enjoy it". I wanted to do a page to remember the feeling of flutters in my stomach and so I used these beautiful butterfly dies from Spellbinders to they help me emphasise my story.

Here is a close up of how beautiful these butterflies are, made with Core'dinations.
Also mixed in there are some fabulous new petaloo flowers and prima canvas butterflies.
