Birthdays and Babies

This weekend we are off to two more birthdays, this time for two little boys. So here are a couple of quick cards that I whipped up for them. I used stuff from October Afternoons Rocket Age Collection and this was a great use of my Tim Holtz embossing folder with some beautiful Saphire blue Core'

I then used the Rocket Age Miscellany kit,  SRM stickers and more Core' to create this

Then since my girl friend is expecting sometime around the same time as me, I thought that I would just create this card from the scraps that were on my desk. Do you ever do that instead of cleaning up, LOL, just use what's there? All the sticker elements are from Bella Blvd and the Card is all Core'

3L love

So for the last Couple of days Core'dinations has been showing off creations using all the fabulous products from 3L. I had a birthday to go to so I made up this beautiful card. I used the Mystik to put almost the whole card together, but I used the Dodz for the flowers and the 3D foam squares to elevate the tag.

The funny tale about this card is that with all my current brain power.....I made it and then put it in its envelope and promptly gave it to the birthday girl........ummm didn't sign it.....Nada!! Oops!!
Ah well, I told her it was the gift of stationary, LOL!! She said it was perfect and was going to resend it to a friend in Australia....ah the brighter side of things.

Have a great weekend

So for all my wonderful friends and all the people who participated in the first ever hard Core Crop, I want to send out a great big THANK YOU!!! You all made the crop so much fun with your comments projects and presence. But now for the hard part.........I had to pick winners for my challenge.

So for my first Challenge, the ad. challenge I chose Amy Prior, I love how she used a ton of different techniques on her hexagons and all used a multitude of collections......but seriously who could resist this face.

and for my second challenge, the color challenge I chose Courtney Lee, Not only did I adore the whimsical snow men, but the little details on this card are just stunning. She used both the front and back for texture, applied glitter, the tree branch has what looks like glossy accents, not to mentions the embossed back ground.

So congrats to both of you and thanks again for playing along in our Hard Core Crop!!

Winners email ellen_sosnoski@coredinations.com with the subject line reading the challenge  you won, For Example: Hard Core Crop Winner Ad Challenge. Also include in the body of the email your name, address, and phone number (if  international this is necessary). Due to the amount of winners this time we will not  be sending out confirmation emails.

Almost there

There is nothing quite like a new photo and a color challenge to inspire me to sit down and scrap. The last couple of days I have been having the feeling like this pregnancy is not going to last much longer and I am feeling the need to capture it, document it..........like all amazing moments, when the time is gone, there is no getting it back and no faking it. So with this layout I am baring the bump and showing that I am proud to be round {for the moment}

I printed my journalling over 2 Core' Tags and used elements and papers from October Afternoon's new cake walk collection. The Chevron button is from Greatest View

and had some fun making my own Chevron with Core'Essentials
I guess I am just on the band wagon with this trend.....but really how can I resist, they look so cool!!

I will keep you all posted.......

Wonderful Weekend Crop

What a great weekend..........I had a blast participating in the first ever Hard Core Crop It was a huge success, so if you missed it, keep your eyes peeled cause this is something that I think we will do again.
I made time to participate in a few of the challenges and I used them to work on my December daily album. It was so liberating to not work with photographs for a change. Here are some of my pages

So the first one I did was inspired by Jen's Strip Challenge, this was a fabulous challenge for using those left over strips of paper.

The second one I did was inspired by Ellen's pinterest challenge, I just used rectangles instead of squares

This one was inspired by Kim's Trendy things challenge, who knew I had sequins in my stash? I didn't!!

This one was inspired by Char's Tag challenge, Mmm I love tags!!

Lastly this one was just for fun, but I was inspired by October Afternoons Sketch challenge.

My plan is to put polaroid style photos into this album and make a serious effort to get my camera out everyday in December. I have a rough idea of what kind of photos will go in each one...but I like how flexible it is and I can make it work any which way. I will be sure to share the projects as it is completed in December but I still have some work on the body of the book. The crop allowed me to get it over three quarters done, so for me this was FABULOUS!!

Thank you to all the magnificent and crafty ladies who joined in our challenges!! Winners will be posted soon!!

Hard Core' Colour Challenge

Friends Welcome to day 2 of our fabulous and fun Hard Core' Crop
If you were not with us yesterday here are all the links you need on how to

Now on to my challenge, This is a Core'dinations Colour challenge  I want you to create a project with all of these colours. Anything goes, cards, layout, home decor, you name it.

Yes!! you can use more colours if you like.

As for what I have created, well it is a bit of a work in progress!! You see, right now I am scrapping with you and using all the other challenges for inspiration.

Every year for the past 3 years I have said," I really want to do a December Daily"......but October is overwhelming and November flies by and before I know it December is here and I don't have the time to work on such a big project with all the other things that we do.

This year with the new baby I know it will be no different, so I am doing right now with my CHRISTMAS in July Colour challenge. Here is what I have got done so far.

You will see there are lots of blank spaces, and lot of places for photos

There are circles everywhere because I will use them with the Custom Core' numbers {like the one in this layout} that I am cutting out with my Klic n Kut

and since I don't know what photo will go where until I take them, I have left plenty of space for titles and jounalling.

Have you SPOTTED a theme yet???

If you notice, I have used the Spotted collection for the whole project, the colours are perfect and you can sand the front and the back for an embossed and debossed look.

So guess what? If you participate in my challenge, that is what I get to give away. My ALL time fave!!

All you have to do is link up your creation to THIS blog post using Inlinkz before midnight on July 22 2012
Winner will be chosen for best, most creative use of Core'dinations

Ready, Set Go!!!

I love tags!!

I am so tired, this week has been the week that my pregnant body has said, "I quit!!! " So I am taking a little time to Scrap. Twopeas has a little manufacturer challenge with October Afternoon, so I put together this layout.

I am in love with my Core' tags. I know it sounds silly but it is just so handy to have them sitting right there ready to use.

I also whipped up this card just for fun. Again, me and my tags :)

Also there are less than 2 weeks until our Hard Core Croppers Event, I am getting so excited!!!!
I hope you will come and play along!!
