Birthdays and Babies

This weekend we are off to two more birthdays, this time for two little boys. So here are a couple of quick cards that I whipped up for them. I used stuff from October Afternoons Rocket Age Collection and this was a great use of my Tim Holtz embossing folder with some beautiful Saphire blue Core'

I then used the Rocket Age Miscellany kit,  SRM stickers and more Core' to create this

Then since my girl friend is expecting sometime around the same time as me, I thought that I would just create this card from the scraps that were on my desk. Do you ever do that instead of cleaning up, LOL, just use what's there? All the sticker elements are from Bella Blvd and the Card is all Core'

Hap-bee Birthday

I know, I know super cheesy, but hey it is a quick card.
I always seem to need more birthday cards, so I whipped this one up with Bella Blvds Sunshine and Happiness collection and ooooh surprise surprise more of May Arts Chevron ribbon ;) The embossing with a darice embossing folder and Core'dinations gives this card some interest.

A date with Bella Blvd

So today is my feature day with Bella Blvd and I took full advantage of the new baby boy collection. With a new baby on the way I really needed to finish up my youngest's first year album. So I created these 8x8's

So many of Core'dinations collections and colors went PERFECTLY with these papers. It made it EASY.
and I love that little giraffe, don't you??

Also one of my friends just had a very healthy 9lb 8 ounce boy so I put together a quick card for her!!

I love this collection and have plans to do a few more layouts with the scraps :) till then!!

Swing thing

So Saturdays are sketch days over at Bella Blvd and I love this weeks sketch, so I decided to play along. Here is the sketch,

and here is what I did with it.
I went through my Bella Stash and found that the Winter Wonder papers worked perfectly for these photo's that I took while camping. You would never know that the original intent of this collection was winter. Love it!!

My little Super Heros

We spend a lot of time indoors through out the winter and most of the time my boys look something like this. There are variations of couse, fireman, electricains, Mario brothers, {that one is just boys with eyeliner mustaches} but today these two balls of energy are "flying" around the house, just being my little superheros.

For this layout I dug into my Bella Blvd Stash, so most of it it from there. I love her papers and I am in love with all thier new tags ands stuff. There are a couple other things from October Afternoon and Smash, Pins are from Maya road {I finally found the stars :) } and of course the Cardstock is Core

Scarecrow

Well my friends this week I am wrapping up my fall creations and getting ready for the next big holiday. It's been snowing here and that, more than the stores pushing Christmas down my throat, has put me in the spirit. This year I am trying very hard to do as many upcycled projects and hand made decorations as I can. I am blessed to be around so much nature it's time to use it.

Here is my most recent creation, I have been saving this scare crow from Bella Blvd for a year and I am so glad that I did because he is PERFECT!!! I also found that the new Kraft Core'dinations colors are dynamite with this collection

I dressed him up a bit with real buttons and a little bakers twine.

Bella Blvd has a really cool FREE printable mini album right now you should check it out!!

Hope you all had a great weekend

I have been spending some amazing afternoons with my boys down by the river and at the park, at the lake and the ocean, basically anywhere there is water. I can't believe that is almost the end of July, it is rushing by. The boys they are growing so fast my oldest heads into Kindergarden in only 6 weeks!! How did that happen??  I am doing school shopping already, and soon it will be fall. I feel like sumer has just begun!!!
Here is a layout with some of some favorite photos from last fall. The Man of the House collection by Bella Blvd were the perfect color scheme.
I love these stamps by My stamp box, the acorn is just to cute.
Products used: Core-dinations Cardstock, Pattern Paper by Bella Blvd, Vellum by worldwin, Stamps by my stamp box, Buttons by foof fa la and letters by Chatterbox.
