This week with everything done at the old house, I abandoned the new house work and took the boys to fly a kite in the back yard. It was so marvelous, Tannin loved it and he was so good at the technique. I got these wonderful shots and after the kids went to bed, I further neglected the laundy and dishes to scrap. I felt I had to use some of the approprietly named Go fly a kite collection by October Afternoon. I love these bright summery papers.
It was inspired by Cindy Tobey's layout, crocodile boy, on pg 85 of the new tips & tricks magazine {my layout, Aim High, is on pg 46}. It has been a long time since I used a magazine for inspiration, I spend so much time online these days, but it just felt good to curl up with the magazine and look for ideas.
