I am so happy

So you remember that fabric sample I showed you a few days ago, well here is what I did with it. I have plans to make a crib bumper and all that jazz too, but I am just so thrilled with how this turned out. It is a very simple quilt, you could hardly call it quilting, but none the less I am quite happy with my first attempt.

Here is a little close up of the patterns used, I am sorry that I can't source most of them for you, I kinda collected them everywhere. The back of the blanket is solid with the kind of umbrella teal.

This is going to be the color scheme of the new baby's room, with an umbrella theme!! I could not think of a more perfect theme for the west coast.

I will share more photos as the room comes together.

More inspirations with spell binders and Core'dinations

This little creation was featured on the Core'dination blog on Tuesday and here are the parts and pieces that I used to put these little snack bags together.

I made a number of these little guys for my son and his friends, it took no time at all to whip them together.

Pretty cute, I am thinking about making some black ones for halloween too!!

I hope these guys gave you a smile, and don't forget to leave a comment here and on spell binders and Core' Blogs, they are giving away some awesome prizes this week.

For my layout I used the diamonds nestabilities and Labels 8. I love love love this shape and used it in 2 ways, one to create a place to house my title.

and the other for this label, I cut out the shape and then used a tag punch, this gave the tab a few more curves.

The diamonds are cut out of the new Core Kraft and I love how you can create the embossed edge to sand.

My inspiration

I am so excited, with this being my last baby I've got lots of plans and ideas for his or her room. The whole thing started with this fabric that I found on Spoonflower. If you are a fan of fabric, this place is INCREDIBLE, make sure that you have an hour to browse, cause you will be hooked!!

You May Rain On Our Parade!

Ok so back to my sharing, this fabric is the inspiration for the nursery, I have pulled all my colors from here and I cannot wait to see the whole thing come together.

Bon Voyage

Nope, I'm not going anywhere, in fact I'm probably not going anywhere for some time. But today is Day 3 of Imagininsces New Bon Voyage line, and there have been some amazing creations with this line and it is kinda a wonderful and sophisticated fresh look for Imagininsce, I love the warm greys and rich regal dark colors. My first project is a store bought journal that I have customized with a couple of my favorite things from the collection, I am in love with the canvas sticker.........no distressing required that are wonderfully aged!!

next up is this layout, this is a photo in my hotel room in Australia, the view was amazing so I used a panoramic photo, this also gave me a great place to put my title.

For the Journalling I used Vellum and printed on the front, and to age it I used AC inks and smeared the back and then attach with spray adhesive, my spray adhesive at close range leaves the splatters so I did that on purpose!!

So check out the other ways the ladies have used this collection here, from babies to travel to games. It is awesome!!!

If your wondering

So if you are wondering why things have been a little slower on this blog......other than my list of normal excuses. This is why!!

We are incredibly excited to be welcoming a new member to our family, however it has left me falling asleep while snuggling with my other kids at 7:30pm. LOL, Late night scrapping {which as most of you know is when I scrap} has been virtually non existent. Thank goodness it is back to school time and I can create during the day. I am doing some cool stuff with both fabric and paper and will be sharing soon!!  :)

Stamped Coloring book

My son loves to color and when ever I am stamping he always wants me to stamp him one to color, so I decided to create him his own mini coloring book, such a cute fast and easy way  to use the snag ems!!!  We were lucky enough to receive some amazing American craft inks to use, love love love how clear and crisp these inks came out with my acrylic stamps, just make sure to give your project a little extra time to dry!!!

Today on the Imaginisce blog there are lots of other great ways to use Imaginsce's snags ems and AC inks

Feeling Hot hot hot

Holey smokes it is a cooker........ever since the kids went back to school it is hotter than ever. Todays layout is all about all types of embossing, the brown circle stars are pre embossed, they are part of the Jenni Bowlin Core Impressions Line,  The diamonds use an embossing folder, the wagon wheels are a create your own embossing template using this technique, the circle used the Cherry Lynn design texture plate and lastly my journalling is with my Dynamo labeller.

.............So many ways to add texture!!

Our new friend

This is our new addition Zelda, she has been with us now for a couple weeks and has proven to be tough enough to handle our loud family she is almost solid black  but has a tiny touch of grey under her chin, she has gold eyes and is totally a Halloween type cat. My boys love, most of the time a little to much.

This page is pretty much solid Core'dinations had me some fun with my Dynamo Labeler. I have just a cheap labeler {cost 10$ at staples}, where the paper feed opens, and I cut my cardstock into strips and feed it in.

After all these X's and O's, I did get a small blister but I think the result was worth it!!
