3L love

So for the last Couple of days Core'dinations has been showing off creations using all the fabulous products from 3L. I had a birthday to go to so I made up this beautiful card. I used the Mystik to put almost the whole card together, but I used the Dodz for the flowers and the 3D foam squares to elevate the tag.

The funny tale about this card is that with all my current brain power.....I made it and then put it in its envelope and promptly gave it to the birthday girl........ummm didn't sign it.....Nada!! Oops!!
Ah well, I told her it was the gift of stationary, LOL!! She said it was perfect and was going to resend it to a friend in Australia....ah the brighter side of things.

Have a great weekend

First Dip

So for today's layout, I looked to the sketch from October Afternoon for inspiration.
It is another 8x8 but this sketch was nice and simple and easy to change to fit my needs.
I used their Seaside collection

I also got out my Core and paired it up with a little spellbinder fish!!

More inspirations with spell binders and Core'dinations

This little creation was featured on the Core'dination blog on Tuesday and here are the parts and pieces that I used to put these little snack bags together.

I made a number of these little guys for my son and his friends, it took no time at all to whip them together.

Pretty cute, I am thinking about making some black ones for halloween too!!

I hope these guys gave you a smile, and don't forget to leave a comment here and on spell binders and Core' Blogs, they are giving away some awesome prizes this week.

For my layout I used the diamonds nestabilities and Labels 8. I love love love this shape and used it in 2 ways, one to create a place to house my title.

and the other for this label, I cut out the shape and then used a tag punch, this gave the tab a few more curves.

The diamonds are cut out of the new Core Kraft and I love how you can create the embossed edge to sand.

Imaginisce tags galour Blog Hop

As most of you already know I struggle with making cards, don't ask me why I a just go blank........... and it takes me forever to make one. When the Imaginisce gals said we were going to make gift tags, I thought!! What a great Idea, that makes a wonderful substitute for a card and for some reason they're easier for me. With fathers day fast approaching I made 3 manly tags, {one for each of the father figures}.

I had some more fun with my spell binders dies, I used both the positive {red one} and the negative pieces {wood grain}!!

Today's inspirations are part of a big ol blog hop so be sure to hop along to the next fantastic tag in the line up.

and make your last stop Imaginisce for a chance to win the collection used here!! Happy Camper

You ol' bear

So our Happy Camper Release Party over at Imagininsce was a HUGE success. The design team loved these papers so much that today we have even more projects to show you, this was just the overflow of what did not fit into the party!! Oh yes we love Imaginisce. Here is a card that I created, this was a birthday card for our Papa, and the sentiment inside reads Happy Birthday you ol' bear.

For this card I loved my spellbinders dies, what makes them really rock is the embossed layer around the edge {this is done with the rubber mats}. On this little card I sanded it on the log ends paper , and inked it around the bear. Plus the Core'impressions  wood grain, ummmmm Perfect!!! {my thought anyways}

Natually there is more good stuff on the Imaginisce Blog, so if you've got a moment Check it out!

Just Bee

So the Core ladies and I got some amazing goody box's this week and Maya Rd was extremely generous with some fabulous rub ons and chip board. I had been eyeing up this honey comb album ever since CHA and was over the moon excited when it arrived at my door step. It was the first thing that I dug into and here is what I created.
I used some of my all time favorite colors, collections and techniques.
Here is a close up of my crimper leaves and torn flower, isn't that torn edge gorgeous. The little bee is one of my faves from My little bit if whimsy.
The first pages are a little bit about remembering to slow down and just bee
The 2nd and 3rd page are about other very important things to bee.

Here is a close up of the Maya Rd Chipboard letters, I covered them in cardstock, sanded them and then just added a few stitches to them,

Here is a close up of some more chipboard. Maya Rd sent up some of there Mists. I have no idea what the name of the one they sent me was, but it is kinda an opaque white sparkle. So for many of the chipboard elements {title BEE and this heart and the little tree}, I used my Copic markers and colored them before spritzing them. That way I can have any color sparkle I want. YUP I love this!!!

Here is the final page. I used the fiskars texture plate to create the embossed honey comb pattern and the torn Chocolate box by Core was the perfect spot use the Maya Rd Rub-ons.

All the pattern papers and embellishments are by Jillibean Soup. Buttons are by My little bit of Whimsy. Photo corners are by Scrapbook adhesives.

Thanks for dropping by

We all get a little stuck sometimes

Like most scrappers that I know, I sometimes get a little stuck for a title, I have a ton of photos of these guys together, some of the shots that I have taken are for no apparent reason and I stuggle to come up with a title.  SRM stickers sent me some of these fantastic clear stickers to play with and so I looked them over and thought " Hello friend" is perfect!! What I really love about these stickers is that there are virtually invisible, the trick to using them on textured cardstock is to get out your stylus or bone folder and literally push\scratch them on and watch them dissapear. Looking forward to using some more.

Happy Saint Patricks Day

Kiss me!! Today I am Irish!! I love Saint Patty's day, I love all the green. There is just something so jolly about this holiday, it makes me smile! It is also my Uncle's Birthday Natually he gets a lot of green cards and this year is no differrent.
Products used here Whitewash by Core-dinations, spell binders nestabilities.

There are some amazing card makers out there, I have seen some of the most incredibley detailed images and with copics being so popular, it is simply amazing.
Where coloring is concerned I am truly clueless, really I rarely use my stamps because of it.
With that being said one of my goals this year was to start using the whack load of stamps that I have and that involved some coloring. I picked up this unbelievably cute Dino and forced myself to use him. I say forced because I made this card for my 36 year old brother in law LOL, Dinosaurs are manly right??
Anyway I am happy with how he turned out!! I just used my water color pencils and some crate paper, I left the bar code on and just stitched across the line and some more fabulous core-essentials.
Have a super Saint Patricks Day
