Bon Voyage

Nope, I'm not going anywhere, in fact I'm probably not going anywhere for some time. But today is Day 3 of Imagininsces New Bon Voyage line, and there have been some amazing creations with this line and it is kinda a wonderful and sophisticated fresh look for Imagininsce, I love the warm greys and rich regal dark colors. My first project is a store bought journal that I have customized with a couple of my favorite things from the collection, I am in love with the canvas sticker.........no distressing required that are wonderfully aged!!

next up is this layout, this is a photo in my hotel room in Australia, the view was amazing so I used a panoramic photo, this also gave me a great place to put my title.

For the Journalling I used Vellum and printed on the front, and to age it I used AC inks and smeared the back and then attach with spray adhesive, my spray adhesive at close range leaves the splatters so I did that on purpose!!

So check out the other ways the ladies have used this collection here, from babies to travel to games. It is awesome!!!

Stamped Coloring book

My son loves to color and when ever I am stamping he always wants me to stamp him one to color, so I decided to create him his own mini coloring book, such a cute fast and easy way  to use the snag ems!!!  We were lucky enough to receive some amazing American craft inks to use, love love love how clear and crisp these inks came out with my acrylic stamps, just make sure to give your project a little extra time to dry!!!

Today on the Imaginisce blog there are lots of other great ways to use Imaginsce's snags ems and AC inks

Page Map Love

Summer is finally here for us on the west coast and I must admit that I have been outside and soaking up the rays, after all it won't be long until the kids are back to school and I have all the time in the world {ha ha funny aren't I?} to craft. As I have said in the last couple posts, life has been a little bumpy and so I am starting of August right with a focus on my family.

Since the nights are when I do most of my scrapping, during the summer I am shorter on time so I love to reach for a sketch to get me started and some of my favorites are from page maps. This month The imaginisce team had the opportunity to create the inspirations for the newsletter and I was thrilled to participate.

This was the fantastic sketch that I got to work with

here is my layout with some of my favorite products

This adorable little frog by My little bit of Whimsy

This wood grain cardstock by Core'dinations

and I used my spellbinders nestablilties to create the date fish

Pulled all together by Imaginisce's Happy Camper line.

Are you ready for winter??? HA, we finally got some summer here and I am scrapping Christmas with Imaginisce's newest collection Santa's little helper. I love this adorable line with snowmen, penguins, trees, birdies and more. This first layout is a wonderful mix with Some Jillibean Soup Core'Impressions and Kraft this works great for showing off the snag'em stamps.

This next one features my favorite little gingerbread fellow and a little elf!! Love em!

There is lots more inspiration on the Imaginisce Blog this week it is our BIG release party, and I know for a fact the gals have whipped up all sorts of Holiday inspiration.

Crafty goods

Ok so I can share a couple more things that I have been working on for the last bit. A friend of the family is due to have her first baby in early September and she did not have a lot in the way of decor. So I went to my local fabric store and selected some flannel and made her this collection of receiving blankets.

These adorable little hedge hogs then inspired me to paint this little fellow. This painting is about 18 in x 30 in and I think that he is just cute as a button. Do you think he is ok for boy or girl?

Then classes have just gone up for sale for the crop for kids event that I will be teaching at and here is a sneak peak of what else I have in store.

I am so excited to be teaching at this event with my side kick Cari Locken, this is gonna be a great fundraiser. Hope that I see some of you there!!

I've been busy!!

Wow, I have neglected this little blog for the last week. Things have been so busy and crazy. I swear there must be something in the air because it has been like a series of unfortunate events. I won't dwell on the sad and the bad because that is not my nature but the good things are that I photographed a wedding on Saturday. This beautiful bride and groom were so much fun and I glad the sun shone for their amazing day.

In other BIG news, hold on to your socks, this is all NEW from Core'dinations. I cannot wait to get a hold of this stuff.

Lastly I have been Invited to teach the BC Crop for Kids this sold out event raises thousands of dollars for the Children's Hospital and I am honored and thrilled to be a part of it. Here is a sneak peak of what I will be teaching.

So that is what I have been up too, today our concrete floor is going in so off I go to get a little dirty!!

New Monthly Challenge

Wow July,  where did June go?  Well you know what that means, it is time for a new monthly challenge with Imaginisce. This Month we have the pleasure of working with one of Aphra's sketches, for my layout I had a horizontal photo so I just flipped the sketch on the side.

The other part of this challenge is make it Monocramatic.

For these little paw prints I used a little cheat, I did not have any tiny orange gems so I just used clear and colored them with my orange copic marker!!

I really hope you will join us for this months challenge and don't forget to link it up and share on the Imaginisce Blog.

Happy Harvest Party

Today is the start of another AMAZING new release party by Imaginisce. I am so excited about this one, since fall is my favorite time of year :) I loved that this new line co-ordinates with last years Apple cider too!! We've got a ton of inspiration in store for the next few days so be sure to check out Imagininsce's blog too. Here are my creations for today's little party! First up is this little growth chart. Have you got one of those walls with lines on it in your house?? I did and I thought it was about time to make a chart instead of drawing on my walls!

Here are a couple of close ups, I put a little journalling spot on each section so that I can write there age and measurement.

Up next are some pictures from the patch!

This little beaver was just to cute to resist, and naturally I felt the need to do something with a canadian twist!!

Here is the layout that I created for it and I would love to see what you can create. You've got a chance at winning a Whimsy sampler so head over to the MLBOW Blog to check out all the details.

For my layout I used the Imaginisce enchanted line along with some great stickers by My little shoebox. This beautiful orange is called tangerine by Core'dinations which I partnered up with a little white wash color called screen door. Of course the amazing buttons are by My Little bit of whimsy. I am so proud and excited to be serving another term on this design team, and did you know it was just featured in this months Canadian Scrapbooker Magazine??? How cool is that????

Imaginisce tags galour Blog Hop

As most of you already know I struggle with making cards, don't ask me why I a just go blank........... and it takes me forever to make one. When the Imaginisce gals said we were going to make gift tags, I thought!! What a great Idea, that makes a wonderful substitute for a card and for some reason they're easier for me. With fathers day fast approaching I made 3 manly tags, {one for each of the father figures}.

I had some more fun with my spell binders dies, I used both the positive {red one} and the negative pieces {wood grain}!!

Today's inspirations are part of a big ol blog hop so be sure to hop along to the next fantastic tag in the line up.

  - Aphra <----- Next stop
and make your last stop Imaginisce for a chance to win the collection used here!! Happy Camper

You ol' bear

So our Happy Camper Release Party over at Imagininsce was a HUGE success. The design team loved these papers so much that today we have even more projects to show you, this was just the overflow of what did not fit into the party!! Oh yes we love Imaginisce. Here is a card that I created, this was a birthday card for our Papa, and the sentiment inside reads Happy Birthday you ol' bear.

For this card I loved my spellbinders dies, what makes them really rock is the embossed layer around the edge {this is done with the rubber mats}. On this little card I sanded it on the log ends paper , and inked it around the bear. Plus the Core'impressions  wood grain, ummmmm Perfect!!! {my thought anyways}

Natually there is more good stuff on the Imaginisce Blog, so if you've got a moment Check it out!

Winner and a challenge

Journaling is such an important part of a scrapbookers journey to preserve memories and tell stories.
SO this month at Core'dinations we are issuing a challenge….we want to see your Journaling. Here is what you need to do for a chance to win some CORE’DINATIONS CARDSTOCK!
1) JOURNAL, {click here to see the unique way Melissa from the Core' DT did her journalling}.
2.) Use Core’dinations Cardstock (it must be a visible component of the layout)
3.) Link your project to the CORE'DINATIONS blog post or post it on our Facebook page. Make sure you “like” us, too!
4.) Show off a cool Core technique and we will throw in an additional chance to win
The rest is up to you!
Deadline for this is June 15th by midnight PST.

With Father Day close at hand, I wanted to do a layout on my husband, in our house he is the hardest person for me to photograph, he gets very uncomfortable in front of the camera, so I am allows trying to shoot when he is not aware. This layout is one of those, he is not looking but it tells the story of his love all the same.

I used the New Echo Park dots and stripes, I love love love all the masculine colors and the basic patterns were perfect for what I wanted to do, I mixed them with some Core'impressions, that diamond pattern is from the Graphic 45 collection and dappled MLBOWhimsy buttons and I-rock bling.

And Oh yeah a WINNER, that is the part you've been waiting for right.
The winner is..................
Lucy who said
" came over from Imaginisce. I am a new follower and glad they sent me over. Can you come over and organize my scrap room? LOL I wish mine looked like yours :) "

Congrat Lucy please email me your address and I will get your parcel in the mail

Imaginisce June Challenge

What a great way to start June, Sunny! I have been dreaming of sunshine for months and Junes challenge fits right along with that bright and sunshiny feeling. The usual Imaginisce rules apply.

Create a project using at least 75% Imaginisce product (layout, card, altered item etc) using the supplied picture as your inspiration and somewhere on your project you need to incorprate a line from the famous Cliff Richard song, Summer Holiday.

We're all going on a summer holiday
no more working for a week or two.
Fun and laughter on our summer holiday,
no more worries for me or you,
for a week or two.
We're going where the sun shines brightly
we're going where the sea is blue.
we've all seen it on the movies,
now let's see if it's true.

Everybody has a summer holiday
doin' things they always wanted to
So we're going on a summer holiday,
to make our dreams come true
for me and you.
for me and you.

Here is my creation, I just love all the summer colors, bring on the sun!! For my layout I used quite a number of collections. The dots are the brand new Happy Camper Line, the stripes are from berrylicious and the banners are from Animal Crackers.  I also used the new Basic Grey Whimsy Core'Impression cardstock, I am so in love with this stuff this pattern was one of my faves!!

TTFN:) Hope you play along

It might as well be Christmas

So even though I am the lucky one in my neighborhood that got to go and enjoy warm weather somewhere else..........I have returned home to the ridiculously wet, windy and cold!! I have had ENOUGH already. Please please sunshine come out and play. I do not wish to see more grey.

So if it is gonna be freezing cold and I still have to light the fire, I might as well scrap Christmas. This is my sister in law and I all dressed up for our annual Christmas eve party, this years theme was Whoville and it was a total blast getting all gussied up.

For this page I used the Jillibean soup Core'Impressions and some of the Christmas Cottage line from Imaginisce. To the holly berries I added a little extra sparkle by adding i-rocs the new red ones are perfect!!

Anyways I hope the sun comes out soon, my skin is so white it is turning transparent!!

Feathers and Flowers

So today on the Imaginisce Blog we are playing with there new release of roly rosy flowers. Lately I've been looking at flowers in a whole new way I've turned them into clouds, I used them as the sun and today I am mixing them with feathers to create this one of a kind headband. With all the wonderful head pieces that were shown off at the royal wedding. I joined in the fun creating this piece for me with Denim and flowers.

before I rolled the flowers I frayed the edge a little to give is a little more depth.

Imaginisce May Challenge

So to get May started we've got another fun challenge, I love the challenges where we try to do things for the boys

So the challenge is to:

1. Create a masculine themed layout/card/project using Imaginisce product.
2. You MUST also use one of the Snag 'em Stamps on your project.

Naturally the project must be at least 75% Imagininsce projects and of course we have a fabulous prize at the the end of the month to give away. So join in the fun and give it try.

Here is what I came up with. I used the apple cider collection I love all the browns and used some of the brand new tear drop i-rocks and I loved using my snag ems as a border on the bottom.

Also used on this layout are some of my favorite Whimsy's All the clouds the beautiful brown bird and the neato button.

I can't believe that it's May already, we are almost half way through 2011. Right now I am probably up in the air and on my way to Australia, It looks like the weather is going to be beautiful so I've got my fingers crosses because I would really like to see some of the outback. I am incredibly exited about teaching along side some incredible designers like Teresa Collins, Sherry Mendoza from Prima, Jenny Steiner from Clear Snap and Sarah Moore from Maya Rd just to name a few. This trip is bound to be a ton of fun and I can't wait to share when I get back.  TTFN :)
