Scrap Panache with Cortney Ophoff

So I have had a wonderful long weekend, busy with family, friends had some great surprises and a Scrap night with the girls. Awesome!! For those of you who have been with me here since the beginning, you may remember me mentioning my friend Cortney Ophoff (the gal who inspired me to start blogging). I met her (so to speak) on the Daily Inspirations design team and loved her style and work instantly.

I love it when scrapbookers are given the same challenge to work on, I enjoy seeing the comparrison. So I asked Cortney if she would like to do a monthly challenge like this with me. She agreed and so we are calling it Scrap Panache. I came up with the challenge this month because I needed some motivation. I have had flocking sitting on my desk since October so I challenged us to use green, buttons and flocking. Anything goes!! This is what I created, I tell you, flocking was fun but what a MESS, I tried a whole bunch of adhesives some worked better than others, but when it all was said and done, I liked my Xyron the best. So here is what I did, I cut a 1 in strip of white cardstock and ran the whole thing through my Xyron, then I poured the flocking powder on it and then randomly punched out circles and popped them up over my pattern paper. For buttons I used the big green button on my faux envelope and I used my cuttlebug embossing strip to emboss little buttons across the bottom. The green is kinda obvious. Now pop on over to Cortney's Blog LIVE CAPTURE CREATE and see what she came up with.

Products used are Core-dinations Cardstock, Basic Grey pattern paper, doodle bug flocking, the button box buttons and sass a frass lass stamp. TFL
